I would happily get red of Emerson scamacca kehrer and paqueta and cornet, an absolute shambles of summer transfers. Short sighted lack of replacements of cress and Antonio.

Er, isn't Ibrahmovic "ancient", in demand, and neither a CB or a central midfielder?

Re: ⚽ Brentford v West Ham - Official Match Thread - FA Cup Preview
Antonio is finished ( if he ever really was ) a central striker. His age will and is showing now. The Premiership is a league for young, pacey, physical players that have good technical ability. He never had the latter but naturally some of the other ones now on the wane. 33 soon and that is very old for the modern day game. There are a few exceptions ( at CB or a Modric type that sit in the middle of midfield using their exceptional passing ability) . Most players have retired or gone down the leagues by 33 years old.

Time left for a replacement

No top-flight club would touch him - iirc, he rebuffed several lower division clubs, saying he was waiting for the offer from a top club, which he obviously regarded as inevitable...

"he eventually successfully sued the club."

and quite rightly, no club touched him after that

Re: ⚽ Brentford v West Ham - Official Match Thread - FA Cup Preview
Curbishley - ffs another cunt that plenty of us saw through before the inevitable

Sued the club when it was pot less having sold players to keep the club afloat - that worked out well, the dullard has not worked since and can't reason why

Oh, and I'm no sparks but you won't see me tight roping the national grid any time soon - call it intuition
So don't be telling me and the others who saw through Moyes a full 12 months ago that we can't see the obvious, the blindness is all yours

Antonio seems to have lost his pace and power, time to upgrade.

Do you think they sold those players to keep him here?

I think you'll find that Curbishley resigned for a lack of support from the Icelandic owners after they sold 2 of his players without telling him.

It was in his contract that he had the final say and he eventually successfully sued the club.

We are a terrible watch . And it's all down to Moyes his Everton sides were crap viewing as well . TBF to the Icelandics they wouldn't have put up with it . they sacked curbishley for that very reason despite being 5th in the league .

Moyes actually praised Benrahma's strike and contribution....

But then also mentioned his bad decisions in other games... Had to laugh

The possession based sideways and backwards passing game is becoming more and more common in the PL. Blame Pep? I watched some of the Gillingham v Leicester game and Leicester were even doing it against a league 2 side and the Gills fans were mocking them, it was so boring to watch.

What happened to high tempo attacking football, at least Klopp still plays that way, among others, Arsenal too.

What's happened to Antonio?

Apart from looking like his boots are on the wrong feet, he ambled around until he got hooked.

Fuck me, I hope we don't have to rely on him for much longer

Re: ⚽ Brentford v West Ham - Official Match Thread - FA Cup Preview
I watched the whole game and here's my thoughts on it. First half, both teams were poor, both slow going forward, lots of "safe" sideways and back passes. stats Brentford 1 shot on target, us none!! Second half not much better. What's happened to Emerson, Johnson, Soucek, Bowen, Antonio. They were all bloody awful, and the build up play was so slow. Only players to come out of this with any credit Rice, Paqueta, and Benrahma. We are a team set up not to loose, and there are far too many players with no confidence, and always playing the safe passes. The manager and backroom lot are totally to blame for this!!

What has the waste of space Warburton done to improve us since he has come in, a man who has been around the top level of football for many years? I'll tell you what he has done - ABSOLUTELY ZERO. I'm not in the game myself, but what I have just stated is a simple fact. The cunt is useless and is stealing money from the club. He probably couldn't even slice a decent orange, but hey he has initials on his tracksuit top, possibly bottoms too, so he must be good, right.

VH probably thinks Warburton is an asset since he's in the game and I'm an ''expert'' because I'm not.

The fella must have been pissed when he put those two posts up, as they are fucking outrageous and a million miles away from the truth.

Ham head,

You know what? I have played and been involved in football for a long long time at various levels and there are many on here like myself that have been around the block with this game over the past 50 years. Suffice to say we have a degree of anonymity on here and besides I don’t need to show you my CV or tell you who I’ve played for in the past to justify my opinion.

This goes both ways in that some of the many folks that have never played the game have made it a huge success irregardless of their wealth which let’s face it is the only reason why Gold and Sullivan are at the helm of our club.
If they did the decent thing and actually appointed somebody that knew the game and had a track record then we wouldn’t be in this predicament but you though seem for some inexplicable reason to be impressed with what they’ve done. What exactly have they done in their esteemed pasts? What has Moyes done? To be a success you have to have won something.
Ok we can say they’ve got Noble in now in an advisory capacity but as many have pointed out he has fundamentally got into that position by being a yes man. He certainly hasn’t got a track record of success either and I personally don’t think he would even get into our team right now even when he was playing at his highest level at any time in the past. Don’t ask me how I know this - but I do. I’m sure you’re equally star-stuck though with him too - because he’s played in the Premier league for nearly quarter of a century but again-won sweet fuck all.

Re: ⚽ Brentford v West Ham - Official Match Thread - FA Cup Preview
I watched the first half, then somebody phoned me and said there was some paint drying in Dartford, so I went and watched that for a couple of hours. It was beyond tedious/frustration.

One of the commentators hit the nail - we have a lot of (very) talented individuals and that's what they were playing like - talented individuals; there seemed no team cohesion - no actual game plan; much of the time it seemed no one was where others expected them to be.

During our "Good Spell", the player who had possession always had at least one "out" someone he could pass to. We seem to have lost that.

Still, a win is a win and that means more FA Cup cash for Sullivan's coffers (unless, of course, he has to book a coach to take the team to the next round match).

Blimey, them nice little email exchanges with Sullivan about sorting tickets for you and your sprog have really gone to your head, haven't they. Good for you that you are enjoying the season and losing every week.

The ''amateurs'' on here so this car crash of a season coming in January, and they were right.

As for Noble, he's a board lacky, who has only ever looked after number one. Do you have his email address too?
